In October 1997, by the will of God, and with the blessings of our spiritual father Komos Aba Meaza Beyene, the Fintoe Hiwot Sunday School was established by a group of six members. The goal of the Sunday School is always to learn about and preserve the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox beliefs that the prophets prophesized and the apostles evangelized as well as pass it to the next generation. In order to achieve this goal, our Sunday school started the first spiritual course titled “About Christ” in the same year. The six founding sisters and brothers started worshiping God through hymns or spiritual songs every Sunday after obtaining the first six uniforms. At present, we have more than 40 members. Our strength and our future are in unity and our mission to each and every soul and heart becomes a reality through our common bond of our Christian faith. We have received our Lord, Jesus Christ’s mercy and grace to continue into the future as we hold his hand and walk with him. A vital part of our Sunday School is the faithful, committed, and devoted father and shepherd, Komos Aba Meazakirstos Beyene. Come join us on Sunday mornings where Komos Aba Meaza teaches the history and theology of the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox beliefs. A typical Sunday School program starts at 11:30 and ends at 1:00 p.m.
